Tell us a bit about you and your professional background
I have always been fascinated by colours, materials and interiors. As a child, I would dream of being a painter. I finally studied Applied Arts in textile design since that was what allowed me to have a profession in decoration. I started out as a stylist for a big French magazine, I also taught Textile Design and Plastic Arts, and I also had my decoration shop in Paris.
What inspires you?
My senses are always awake, and so what inspires me is a rose bush in a garden, old decrepit walls with old wallpaper, a thousand and one very beautiful little things ... the chirping of birds, the display of a florist, a pretty dress ...
How would you describe your style?
I have a very eclectic style. I am not looking for perfection but rather for the harmony of materials and colours. In fact, I choose my furniture or my objects in general in my favourite second hand shops.
How do you approach styling a room?
I try to find its soul. Each place has its own story and I try to recreate it. I am obviously much more sensitive to old places. Then I look for the colorful atmosphere that I want to develop. The rest is obvious ...
