Please read these terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”) carefully as they are a legally binding agreement between you and Chic & Country Magazine concerning your access and use of our website www.chicandcountry.com (the “Site”).

By visiting the Site and/or purchasing a subscription from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the Terms of Service, including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the Site, including without limitation users who are browsers and customers.

By accessing or using any part of the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any services. If these Terms of Service are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms of Service.

By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site. You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws). You must not transmit any worms or viruses or any code of a destructive nature. A breach or violation of any of the Terms of Service will result in an immediate termination of your Services.

Service

Our Service is an online subscription to our library of magazines (the “Content”). This includes all archive issues, the current issue and any issues published in the future.

By purchasing a subscription you acknowledge that our subscription is:

(1) digital only, and this means that (a) there are no printed copies of any of the magazines and you will not receive any magazines on the post; (b) you cannot download the magazines into your computer or mobile device; (c) you have access to the magazines only when you have an internet connection and (d) once your subscription period ends, you will lose access to the Content.

(2) recurring and will renew automatically. This means on the date of renewal your card will be charged and your subscription will continue for another year or until you cancel it. You are responsible to keep your account updated and to keep your subscription current to have access to the Site’s Content.

Subscription Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time by accessing your account. Please read our help guide for instructions on how to cancel a subscription or a membership from your account. If you do not want the subscription to be recurring, you must cancel it before the date of renewal to avoid a new charge.

Your subscription will be automatically cancelled by our system if payment fails to go through within 5 days of the renewal date.

Please note you have full control of your subscription and can access it at any time by logging into your account.

Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of our service, by placing your order for a subscription you agree that we may start your subscription immediately upon our accepting your order. This means that you are not entitled to a refund if you change your mind after we have provided you with access to your subscription, that is, once your order has been fulfilled. You may cancel your subscription at any time, but the cancellation will only take effect at the end of your then current subscription period.

We cannot accept returns of gift cards or exchange these for cash.

Order issues

Please inspect your order upon reception of your email confirmation and check that the details provided are accurate and contact us if they are not. You should also contact us immediately if you placed a duplicate order by mistake so we can refund you immediately.

Subscription Renewals

The subscription to the library renews automatically so you don't need to subscribe again if you wish to continue having access to the library at the end of your subscription period. You will receive an order confirmation with details of your new payment.

Membership Renewals

If you subscribed after December 2021, your membership will renew automatically and you don’t need to resubscribe and you can continue to use your username and password to access the library. If you wish to unsubscribe, please follow the steps in the Help Guide to cancel your subscription. When you cancel your subscription, you will lose access to the library.

Cancelling Auto Renewal

If you don't wish your subscription to renew, please cancel it as soon as possible from your account as explained above to avoid a new charge when the renewal date arrives.

We'll give you a friendly 15-day notice before it's time to renew. Unfortunately, due to the digital nature of our product, refunds won't be available after your order has been completed.

Library Access

If you subscribed before December 2021, you access the library with a code (the “Library Code ”). You are responsible to keep the Library Code confidential and you should not share it by email or any other means to anyone other than your immediate household members. We reserve the right to update the Library Code from time to time and you should contact us to request an updated code if yours does not work. A current Library Code must be used on this page: www.chicandcountry.com/library.

If you subscribed after December 2021, you access the library from your account with your account password. Each time you login to the site, you will have access to the library. You don’t need a library code to access the library.

Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual property in the Site is either owned, controlled or licensed to us and is protected by international copyright and trademark laws. No part of the Site may be copied, reproduced, aggregated, republished, uploaded, posted, displayed, encoded, translated, transmitted, distributed, sold, licensed or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without express prior written permission from us.

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service or any contact on the website through which the service is provided, without express written permission by us.

You are granted a limited license to access and use the Site and to download or print a copy of any portion of the Content to which you have properly gained access solely for your personal, non-commercial use. We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you.

If you share Content on Instagram please credit the images to @chicandcountrymagazine and the content creator of the image. For the avoidance of doubt, links to the Content in Pinterest are not authorised.

Complaints

We strive to offer you an excellent service but if for whatever reason you are not happy with the service you have received, please contact us by email and we will do our best to assist you.

Zero Tolerance Policy and Email Etiquette

We treat our customers with the greatest respect and kindness and we appreciate customers who are equally respectful towards our support team.

Please note that we have a policy of zero tolerance for emails that use rude or aggressive language or are in any way disrespectful. We consider yelling emails (those emails that use all caps, exclamation marks…), emails that make false accusations, disparaging remarks, rants or issue threats to be unacceptable and we will not engage in correspondence with such senders other than to reply by sending this policy. Please address our staff with the respect and politeness that you wish to receive from us.

In particular, we reserve the right not to process refunds if you use aggressive language (please note that the use of angry exclamation marks is considered aggressive), make threats, harass our staff with continuous emails and unreasonable demands or claim not to recognise a subscription when you have asked for a library code in the months preceding such claim. We will also not process any refunds from customers who request a code or help to access the library, and once they have received such code and help to access the library, they request a refund. Yes, unfortunately there are such people.

Chargeback Disputes

You agree not to issue a chargeback in order to avoid complying with our terms. If you do, the chargeback will be disputed by us. You must contact us before issuing a dispute and we will do our very best to resolve your issue. Issuing a dispute without contacting us first is an infringement of our terms.

General Conditions

Your information

You understand that your content (not including credit card information), may be transferred unencrypted and involve (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices. Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks. We do not hold your credit card information.

Information Accuracy

We are not responsible if information made available on this Site is not accurate, complete or current. The material on this Site is provided for general information only and should not be relied upon or used as the sole basis for making decisions without consulting primary, more accurate, more complete or more timely sources of information. Any reliance on the material on this Site is at your own risk. We reserve the right to modify the contents of this Site at any time, but we have no obligation to update any information on our Site. You agree that it is your responsibility to monitor changes to our Site.

Modification of services and prices

Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time. We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.

Accuracy of billing and account information

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made on our Site. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.

Certain content available via our Service may include materials from third-parties. Third-party links on this Site may direct you to third-party websites that are not affiliated with us. We are not responsible for examining or evaluating the content or accuracy and we do not warrant and will not have any liability or responsibility for any third-party materials or websites, or for any other materials, products, or services of third-parties.
We are not liable for any harm or damages related to the purchase or use of goods, services, resources, content, or any other transactions made in connection with any third-party websites.
